“This photo speaks volumes.. Just found it in my fb memories. What an amazing moment in time. My teacher Carlos Lazaro Aldama Perez and Yagbe Awolowo Onilu. Two LEGENDS of our world of music, performance, and tradition. One, my elder friend, the other my teacher. If anyone can remind me of the date [2016?], this was the Banrrara concert. I had the privilege to perform alongside some of the best exponents of AfroCuban cultural performance. Great memories.” – Pablo Soto Campoamor
“Aboru Aboye O…Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us all. We can only be said to be alive in those moments, when our hearts are conscious of our treasures. You gave me your time, the most thoughtful gift of all.”
